Discovering God’s Blueprint for Finances

Discovering God’s Blueprint for Finances

My journey towards biblically wise money management began as a child with my mother’s teaching. When I desired a new baseball glove, she started giving me a small allowance – with tithing required! This instilled God’s principles early.

Later as a young adult, I dug into Scripture to learn its extensive guidance on finances. Three truths stood out that still shape my perspective today:

The Bible speaks a tremendous amount on money and possessions – over 2,350 verses! 15% of Christ’s words dealt with this topic. God knows money impacts everyone, so He gave ample instruction.

I assumed the Bible mainly addressed generosity, the handling of 10% of income. But it actually covers earning, spending, saving, investing, getting out of debt and more – God’s blueprint for 100% of our money.

Scripture reveals that God and we each have a role in finances. As Owner of all things, God provides needs and controls outcomes. Our role is to be faithful stewards of what He entrusts to us.

These insights transformed how I view money and life. Understanding God’s extensive principles empowered me to align every financial decision with His purposes.

I’m so grateful for parents who established this foundation early. The habits we build as children shape our trajectory. Starting young helps ingrain biblical values on material resources and generosity.

No matter where you are in your financial journey, it’s never too late to seek God’s wisdom. Let His Word revolutionize and renew your perspective. Discover the rich scriptural guidance for using money and possessions for eternal reward.
