Throughout Scripture, we see investing presented as an avenue through which God blesses His people. The Parable of the Talents illustrates God entrusting us with resources to cultivate and multiply. We are held accountable for wisely stewarding what He has given us.
Faithful men and women of God were often blessed financially through investments. In Proverbs 31, the virtuous woman purchases a field and vineyard with her earnings. Job was immensely wealthy, with his assets in livestock – a common form of “investment” then.
While our society is not agriculture-based like ancient times, the principle remains – God desires to bless through wise investing. Today that may mean stocks, bonds, mutual funds, real estate etc. The vehicle does not matter to God. What matters is faithfully stewarding our resources.
Of course, poor habits and lifestyles can block God’s financial blessings. But nothing stops Him from wanting to bless. We simply must align with His principles of stewardship and investing.
Approach investing as a means of resourcing Kingdom work, not selfish gain. See it as a channel for God’s provision for your family, ministry and giving. Pursue excellence and diligence.
Avoid get-rich schemes or high risk speculation. Commit to long-term, diversified investments. Seek wise counsel. Remain focused on eternal rewards over temporal gains.
As you faithfully steward God’s assets this way, investing becomes an avenue for His blessing financially and spiritually. It expands your capacity to generously fund Gospel work. Embrace investing as an opportunity to bear Kingdom fruit.

Stephen H.
